Why this exists

You were never taught to navigate your own mind.

Not in school. Not at home. You were handed a life and expected to figure out the steering on your own. So most of us do the only thing we know how to do: we fight. We try to think our way out of anxiety, argue with the depression, reason away the grief, and white-knuckle through the day.

And it works for a while -- until you're exhausted in a way sleep can't fix, postponing the things you care about, waiting to feel better before you start living. The fighting is what wears you down. Not the feeling. There's another way to move through the water, and it can be taught.

The Promise

By the end of these eight weeks, you'll work with anxiety, overthinking, and hard emotions -- and move toward the life that matters to you -- without fighting your own mind, even if it never fully goes quiet.

The Journey

Six skills. One river. Eight weeks.

You'll travel the whole route, one skill at a time — each with a teaching, a guided practice, and a workbook you keep. By the end, you won't just understand your mind. You'll know how to steer it.

● I. Acceptance — Stop burning your energy fighting what's real, and get it back.

● II. Defusion — Unhook from the thoughts that have been running the show without your permission.

● III. The present moment — Come back to where your life is actually happening, right here.

● IV. The observing self — Find the steady “you” that stays solid underneath all the noise.

● V. Values — Get clear on what genuinely matters to you, your compass for every decision.

● VI. Committed action — Take the next small, meaningful step. Then the next. This is how a life moves.

What makes it different

Three traditions, braided into one practical system.

Most approaches hand you a single lens. This course brings together three that work — the practical, the emotional, and the deep — so you're not just managing symptoms, you're changing how you meet your own mind.

ACT (the skills)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy — the practical, research-backed skills for unhooking from your thoughts and acting on what matters.

Emotion science (the feelings)

Cultivating Emotional Balance, from the work of Paul Ekman and Alan Wallace — learning to read your emotions instead of being run by them.

Depth psychology (the depths)

The insight of Carl Jung — because some of what drives you lives below the surface, and meeting it is where real change begins.

Who it's for

This is for you if...

● You're exhausted from fighting your own mind.

● You overthink, replay, and rehearse — and can't seem to shut it off.

● Anxiety has quietly been making your decisions for you.

What's inside

Everything you need to make the journey

Eight weekly video lessons — one skill at a time, in plain language. No jargon, no prerequisites.

Guided audio practices — short enough that you'll actually do them, built to use in real moments.

A workbook for every skill — yours to keep and return to whenever the water gets rough again.

Monthly live sessions — bring your questions and navigate alongside others making the same trip.

The destination

This isn't about silencing your mind. It's about learning to work with it - so a loud mind stops running your life.

Your guide

Annette (Ann) Rowe, MA, LMHC

You bring the willingness, I'll bring the map.

I'm Ann — a licensed therapist with more than twenty years in clinical practice, and someone who's had to learn to read some hard water in my own life. For two decades I've watched people try to think their way out of anxiety, argue with their depression, and white-knuckle through the day, slowly running out of energy.

This course is the map I wish every one of them had been handed sooner. It braids the three traditions I trust most — ACT, the emotion science of Cultivating Emotional Balance, and the depth psychology of Carl Jung — into one system you can actually use.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Is this therapy?

No. This is education and skill-building — not therapy, and not a substitute for it. Please seek therapy if you need that level of care. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (US), available 24/7.

Do I need any background in psychology?

None at all. If you've never read a psychology book in your life, you're exactly who this was built for. Everything is in plain language.

How much time will it take?

A short video and a guided practice each week, plus a workbook you can move through at your own pace. Most people spend a couple of hours a week.

When does it start?

What if my mind never gets quiet?

Good news: it doesn't have to. This isn't about silencing your mind — it's about learning to work with it, so a loud mind stops running your life.
